Quills

Terrain

Ripped stone secretes valleys,
Winding sinuous and deliberate.
Stream rushes down secrets.
Leaping from stone to stone

Warmth floods down as light
Motes envelop mottled leaves,
Dark and then vibrant again.

Long moments of uncertainty,
Treading delicate paths along
Slipshod angles, rushing away

Beneath static marbled walls.
Rocks descend upon the path
Tracing ancient sinew to bone.

Dashing through resilient growth,
Scratching tender fury along time.
Cooling stream invades heats burn,
Windowed under arching granite sky.
